News Sources

Given that Singapore is a very small country, it is only to be expected that there would not be much coverage of our relief efforts in the region beyond the local media. Part of the intention of this blog is precisely to bring under one location the most significant reports, especially from sources that are less well known. The main sources of news and official press releases about our relief efforts can be found at:

The Singapore Government's "Crises & Emergencies Spotlight - Aceh Quake & Resulting Tsunami" page.

The Singapore Ministry of Defence's "SAF Relief Efforts in Tsunami-hit Countries" page.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force's "Operations Lionheart" page

Channel News Asia's "Tsunami Disaster: The Aftermath" page (archive of 7 days)

Straits Times (registration required; it's a pity ST is not maintaining a special page where all the Tsunami related news are collected together; and news articles are accessible for only 4 days...)

And if you read Chinese: Lianhe Zaobao

The Singapore Red Cross
