Times of London interviews W

Needless to say, this (Times of London, June 30) will hardly convince those who are already set in certain opinions about the present man in the White House, but an interesting read nonetheless:

In person Mr Bush is so far removed from the caricature of the dim, war-mongering Texas cowboy of global popular repute that it shakes one’s faith in the reliability of the modern media...

The interviewer, Gerard Baker, is the US editor for the Times. This earlier column (Daily Standard, Oct 29, 2004) perhaps gives an indication of his own position.
